I’ve been waiting almost a year for this, but it looks like I made it to my birthday weekend again (actual birthday is on Sunday)! I’m headed to Vegas with the wife for the first time, it should be a lot of fun.
I’m off to be a responsible personal finance blogger and gamble. Gambling is a smart money move, right?
I love gambling (though I don’t enjoy losing). What’s your game? Any tips for me?

After a long, cold winter (not really, LA is beautiful year round), I finally get to welcome back my first true love, baseball. I just can’t get enough, so I’ll be spending the next hopefully 7 months watching 120+ Yankee games, which sounds like a wonderful use for 420ish hours of my time.
This year will be a little different as I’ll be on the west coast for my first full season, where games starting at 4pm PST interferes with my work schedule. My plan is to sign off of social media between 4pm and 10pm each day so that I can go home and watch the games on my Roku as if they were live. No spoilers please!

Last week, I signed a lease on a new apartment in Los Angeles. I’m very excited to be moving in to a place of my own, though I did have a great 8 1/2 months at the future in-laws. The new place has 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and a brand new kitchen, which Lauren is a big fan of. We’re starting from scratch, and all the furniture and supplies are not cheap!
Today is a big day, we’re having our living room set delivered, a bed delivered, the Internet and cable tv services installed, and the finishing touches are being put on the new cabinets in the kitchen. And then we’re hosting our first dinner tonight!
