Best of the Rest: New (To Me) Car Edition

The biggest news of the week came yesterday, when I bought my first car, a 2007 Hyundai Elantra. I’ll go into more detail next week about the experience and some of the lessons I learned from it. I hope this car lasts me about 30 years because I’ll need about that much time to recover from the process. And I need a bit of time away from the used car salesmen.

Even with all the running around I’ve been doing while looking at cars, I’ve had enough time to look at some of these great articles from my fellow bloggers:

    • @Jeff @ Sustainable life blog, Got a pretty decent deal, used cars have skyrocketed lately because of high demand and low supply (nobody has been buying cars lately!). Still, I know this car will last me more than a few years and I can be proud of it.

  1. The salesmen were the worst part of the car buying experience for my wife and I. Of course, they hated the fact that I had my laptop with me, taking notes and checking their math in my spreadsheets! I actually caught them trying to sneak in a few thousand dollars at the end.

    • Oh, and I want to thank you for including my article! I guess I got so caught up in thinking about car salesmen, I forgot!
