I know a number of people who have been waiting and waiting to buy a house, all the while they've been getting more expensive. Then, when it was too expensive, they said "We'll wait until the bubble bursts and then get one cheap". Well, they along with everyone have been waiting, there are so many people now waiting to buy, they get snapped up for not much less than they were a few years ago so now they're still waiting and soon, the prices will go up again. There are definitely times when waiting too long will cost you more money.
